Doug Trussler

FOR CITY COUNCIL · 2026

DOUG TRUSSLER

A safer, stronger Santa Monica that works for residents.

Doug believes Santa Monica has extraordinary potential — but getting there requires a city government focused on results: safe neighborhoods, parks, schools, and public spaces, a more effective approach to homelessness, and a revitalized Downtown.

Drawing on decades of business and financial experience, he brings a focus on responsible budgeting, measurable outcomes, and making sure public resources are used effectively — because a thriving local economy sustains the services residents rely on.

Doug’s support spans police, fire, business, labor, housing advocates, neighborhood voices, and Democratic organizations — a breadth that reflects the independent, results-focused leadership he would bring to City Hall.

FOR CITY COUNCIL · 2026

LANA NEGRETE

Independent leadership focused on the issues Santa Monicans experience every day.

A lifelong Santa Monican, renter, mother, and local small-business owner, Lana believes city government should focus on the fundamentals: keeping people safe, addressing homelessness with urgency and compassion, and delivering results residents can see.

She supports giving first responders the resources they need, connecting people with mental health care, addiction treatment, housing, and services, and helping local businesses succeed — strengthening the economic foundation that supports city services.

Lana has earned backing from Santa Monica’s police officers and firefighters, public-school advocates, organized labor, neighborhood leaders, and Democratic groups — very different constituencies finding common ground in her leadership.
